Enjoy a few hours of creativity at Sheppy’s painting our orchards.
This workshop is designed for beginners, those with more experience, or anyone who wants to improve their skills in acrylic painting using palette knives. You will begin by sketching in the Orchard and then continue indoors where you will be shown how to use a palette knife to create different textures. The aim is to enable you to capture an essence of the beautiful Sheppy’s orchards and the surrounding meadows.
Demonstrations will be given in an ‘Impressionistic Style’ and you are guaranteed one-to-one guidance and support throughout the session. You will not only learn the palette knife technique, but also how to be bold with your paint.
Your tutors for the workshops are Una Lee and Fran Elliston, who exhibit at Sheppy’s Cider Farm during the Somerset Arts Week Festival. Una is an experienced local landscape artist who takes inspiration for her work from the beautiful Somerset countryside, as well as landscapes from around the word. Fran paints in an impressionistic way in acrylics, mixed media and experimental watercolours. Fran’s creativity will enable you to look beyond the realism and interpret the landscape in a unique way. Their work can be seen here; Una Lee and Fran Elliston.
