The cider apple harvest is a unique and fascinating process, where we carefully pick the ripest apples and prepare them for pressing. From orchard to bottle, each step is crafted to create the perfect blend of flavour for our signature Sheppy's ciders.
We are nearing the end of harvesting our Kingston Black apples, a key apple in our single variety cider production and a beloved Somerset classic. Next, we'll be gathering our dessert apples - Taylors Gold, Falstaff and John O'Groats - which Mr Sheppy expertly blends to sweeten and balance our draught ciders. It's a true taste of tradition in every bottle.
While we can't guarantee visits to watch the pressing, our apple harvest will continue daily until the end of November. If you Have any questions, our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you during your visit.
