We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Functions Co-Ordinator in our busy visitor attraction at Sheppy’s House of Cider.
Sheppy’s House of Cider and Fine Foods is a visitor attraction including a shop, cafe, restaurant and bar which is becoming Somerset’s premier cider destination. Serving tourists and locals alike with first-class food, drink, and visitor experience in all public areas, based on a high level of customer care and attention to detail, it is a destination with huge potential to fill.
The facility is open seven days a week and hosts public events of our own such as Wassail, and is also available for private function and event bookings. Bookings are taken for business meetings, conferences, cider tours, wakes, weddings, private parties and functions booked by telephone, online, email or face-to-face.
The customer-facing nature of this full-time role means that it can only be office-based. The bulk of the work of this post will be done Monday to Friday, but the post-holder will frequently be the sole point of contact for clients like brides, so flexibility for out-of-hours work is required to meet their reasonable expectations and the needs of the business. The post-holder will have a well-groomed professional appearance and manner at all times, but will be equally happy to muck in and get dirty when necessary for preparing an event.
As the functions aspect of the House of Cider is still developing, the ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas for growth together with the drive to implement them.
The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Manager and work and collaborate closely with the Customer Experience Coordinator.

- High standards of presentation and a professional demeanour
- A friendly attitude towards both customers and colleagues
- Patience and empathy at all times
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards new ideas
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms
- A valid driving license
