ARE SHEPPY'S CIDERS GLUTEN FREE?
Cider is made from apples, which do not contain gluten. All of our ciders are made with the highest quality ingredients and are naturally gluten free and suitable for a coeliac diet.

ARE SHEPPY'S CIDERS SUITABLE FOR VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS?
All our ciders are suitable for vegans and vegetarians as we do not use animal products or by-products in the production process.

DO YOUR CIDERS CONTAIN SULPHITES?
All our ciders contain sulphites, which is an antioxidant vital for maintaining freshness and the levels are well within legal limits.

HOW CAN I BUY OR IMPORT SHEPPY'S CIDER TO COUNTRIES OTHER THAN THE UK?
If you are a business, please contact us via info@sheppyscider.com with your name and relevant details to create a trade account. This will allow you to order pallets of stock for international delivery.

HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH REGARDING CHARITABLE EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES?
At Sheppy's Cider we donate to a specific charity each year, this is currently St. Margaret's Hospice.  We are happy to consider supporting other local causes. Please get in contact via info@sheppyscider.com if you would like to be considered. Unfortunately we are not able support all of the many applications we receive.

ACCESSIBILITY & FACILITIES?
We endeavour to ensure all our visitors enjoy their experience at our Cider Farm. All our public buildings are fully accessible with step-free access. We do have an upstairs restaurant floor, but will always ask if your preference is to be downstairs.

Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are available in the House of Cider.  Disabled car parking is available at the front of the building.

HOW SUSTAINABLE IS YOUR SITE?
Working closely with nature for 6 generations has been fundamental to the success of our company and we continue to focus on further sustainability initiatives for future generations.
We have created a wetland habitat at Sheppy's as a natural means to treat our cider production effluents.
The residue from our apple pressing (pomace) is used as animal feed or as material for biomass energy generation.
We have solar panels on our warehouse which generate electricity used in cider production and the House of Cider.
We stream all our wastes for recycling and have taken all measures we can to minimise our energy use.

HOW DO I BOOK A TOUR?
You can book your tour online here. If you want to book for a group of 15 or more, you will need to contact us on 01823 461233 or by emailing events@sheppyscider.com We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

WHAT DOES THE TOUR ENTAIL?
You’ll learn about the history and craft of cider making with one of our expert guides, as we take you around our working cider mill and finish with a tutored tasting. The tour takes approximately an hour and a half in total. It is a walking tour which includes outdoors and uneven surfaces.

ARE THERE PLACES TO EAT ON SITE?
The House of Cider Restaurant serves a delicious seasonal menu made of locally-sourced ingredients. With our full range of refreshing ciders also on-site, there’s no better way to enjoy a post-tour meal. We also have a café with a selection of homemade cakes, hot and cold snacks and refreshments. IS THERE CAR PARKING AVAILABLE NEARBY?
Yes, we have a free car park outside the House of Cider and an overflow carpark opposite our production buildings and next to our children's play area.

ARE THERE ANY CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS?
Unless the weather is really terrible, your tour will go ahead, so please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for a farm walk.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS TO GOING ON A TOUR?
There are no age limits to going on one of our tours, however we do ask that all under-18s are accompanied by a responsible adult. Under- 18’s may not sample any alcohol in any circumstances.

CAN I BRING MY DOG TO THE CIDER FARM?
Yes, we welcome all the family to the farm. but dogs are not allowed in any of our buildings or guided tours (except Assistance Dogs). Dogs are welcome in the courtyard and outside seating areas. Dogs (on leads only) are welcome to enjoy the farm track walks from 1st December to 1st August when they are closed in preparation for our harvest. Please call 01823 461233 for further information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CIDER FARM IS CLOSED?
If, for any reason, we are unable to deliver a tour on the day that you have booked, we will endeavour to contact you to alert you to the unexpected closure. We will also try to communicate this via our website. If you have paid for your tour online, we will offer a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule at your convenience.
