Some things are too good to be changed and we have ciders which have remained popular since the 1930s.

Our Historical Ciders in 750ml Bottles

We have three bottled ciders which, with Farmhouse Draught, were the foundation of the cider business here at Three Bridges Farm. In the 1930s the sparkling ciders Bullfinch and Goldfinch were produced using in-bottle Champagne fermentation, but nowadays our sparkling ciders are all pressure-carbonated, 750ml bottles are ideal for sharing and, with a screw cap, can be sealed and put away for another delicious installment.

Goldfinch Cider

Goldfinch Cider is a dry sparkling cider based on our Farmhouse Draught blend.

Gold Medal Cider

Gold Medal Cider is particularly interesting. This is a still cider made with an exceptionally good quality vintage blend of apples to create a very old fashioned traditional cider which any farmer-cidermaker would have been proud to have on his dining table. Popular with our customers as an alternative to wine at a meal, this cider’s name comes from 1932 when Stanley Sheppy’s still Vintage Cider was awarded the unheard-of accolade of the Gold Medal at the London Brewer’s Exhibition.
